GolfersCrest started from a small frustration. The most personal game a man can play was being played in a glove that came off a shelf — the same one worn by thousands of others. We thought the piece that touches every single swing deserved more consideration than that.
WHERE IT BEGAN
Every part of his game was chosen. Except the one part that touched the club.
A friend of ours had spent the better part of a year assembling his setup. Fitted irons. A putter he had waited months for. Shoes chosen with more care than most people give a suit. And on his hand, a glove he had picked up in a hurry at a pro shop, because it was there and it fit well enough.
It struck us as a strange gap. He had thought about everything else. The one item he wore on every hole was the one item nobody had ever asked him about.
WHAT WE CHOSE
Fine leather, or a personal touch. Rarely both.
The same compromise turned up everywhere we looked. The premium gloves were beautifully made but anonymous. The personalised ones were made of thin, cheap material that wore through in a handful of rounds.
Cabretta is a leather prized for being soft enough to disappear on the hand, and durable enough that it will not tear at the seams after a fortnight. We saw no reason a glove bearing your initials should be made of anything less.
WHAT WE MADE
Cut, stitched, and stamped entirely by hand.
Every GolfersCrest glove is made to order, one at a time. It is cut, stitched, and inspected by hand before it is sent out. There is no mass production, and no two gloves leave us with the same mark on them.
The leather softens to the shape of your hand over the first few rounds and then stays there. It is the sort of thing you stop noticing, which is precisely the point.
